~Signature Cocktail~

The signature cocktail has a new twist in the tequila bar! This trend can be a classic set up offering a line of high class premium Tequilas with salt and lime...or you can think chic with signature cocktails like the Tequila Cosmo, tequila sunrise, Sauza tres Martini, and tequila refresca.

I recommend high end premium liquors such as: Cabo Wabo Anejo, 1800 Anejo, Don Julio, Patron and Cuervo Reserve de la familila.

End of Summer Fete

In the South's opressive 100+ degree heat it's hard to be inpired to go outside. But Style Me Pretty is just overflowing with Inspiration with their Story Board Contest....Here are a few of my favorites:

*Disclaimer: Please do not mistake this for me recommending ANYONE to get get married outside in August in Atlanta!* :)

To me this board just screams summer! Bright colored dresses, tables and flowers. Fun patterns and funky little designs. Softly colored cupcakes and cool refreshing homemade lemonade!

This vintage inspired board brings to mind WWII and Big Band era in an elegant coutry way.

I love the simple earthy feel of this board. There's the hint of fall in the poppy and yellow...but still a warm and light and airy.

Great job to all the ladies who submitted these boards!!! They are gorgeous!!

Paul Johnson Photography

{photos from Paul Johnson}
I came across this stunning image on a blog and had to check out his work. I ended up stumbling across Kristin and her fiance, Vinny!!! They are from New York and were married on Anna Maria Island, at The Beachhouse. This is where my husband and I were married! I worked with them for quite a while during the early stages of the planning process and it was a complete pleasure! Unfortunately, I had to find a replacement for myself as my due date and their wedding were extremely close! They are an awesome couple and I am so bummed I missed their wedding!!! What a gorgeous bride!!!

He does some amazign work! If you are getting married in Florida, definately check him out. His blog is also a lot of fun!

"Advice Worth Listening Too"

I've been coming across this on quite a few of the blogs I frequent...it seems pretty cool! The Wedding Podcast Network interviews newlyweds, wedding vendors, magazine editors, etc. They then create podcasts (dowloadable interviews). Congratulations to Lyndsi & Amanda of Social Design, an event planning company in Philladelphia will be featured on there soon! What a great way for the busy bride to be to get advice, inspiration and support!

Poppy & Pink

I love these colors!!! It's a gorgeous, bright and romantic pallette that works well in all seasons! After coming across a spread on marthastweart.com I was putting together a color pallete. I then found this story board put together by What Junebug Loves:

You will meet with us to make a few small decisions and we will handle the rest.

Our package includes a mininster to preform your ceremony.A rose bouquet for the bride and a boutonniere for the groom by On Occasions of Atlanta. A custom wedding cake by Individually Designed cakes and a bottle of champagne. As well as one hour of professional photography by Sky & Carla Photography with a release of all images.

Trash the Dress

Here are my feeling on 'trashing the dress'...I think that taking fun pictures in the dress without worrying that you are getting it wrinkled and or dirty can be a lot of fun. I think that they allow for a whole new realm of creative and artistic images to be captured in what will be for most of us, the most expensive gown we ever own. I think it's a fabulous way to get to wear the dress again, even if just one more time!
Trash the Dress Blog features some pretty crazy pictures...but here were some of my favorite...

Katie & Matt

This weekend Katie & Matt were married at The always gorgeous venue, The Fern Bank Museum. The colors were a rich brown and blue with green accents. They are an incredible couple. They told me they had been to so may weddings together that it helped them narrow down very quickly what they wanted for their own wedding. They wanted it to be unique and fun! They were able to capture their creative spirits and love for music and share this with their family and friends through so many special little details...CD favors with Ticket Master ticket place cards, Dodgers and Braves seating for the ceremony, a low-country menu and Karaoke at the end of the evening.

I had the opportunity to work with some worderful vendors. The always fabulous, Carla Duncan of On Occassions of Atlanta provided the gorgeous floral arrangements. Tripp West with Liquid Mind Productions was the DJ. This was my first opportunity to work with Bold American Catering and they did an amazing job...the food, service and management were all well above expectations. Pretty Cakes by Meg did the beautiful chocolate wedding cake.

At the last minute we made a bit of a scramble when their photographers, friends who were supposed to be coming out from california, were unable to make the trip for medical reasons. I contacted Katie and Chris Torres with 6 of Four Creations . They do incredible work and have an amazing eye for the intimate and artistic details, which I knew was perfect or this wedding! They were available and after meeting with Katie and Matt were thrilled to be doing te wedding! So, the week before the wedding we put that minor crises to bed and these were the beautiful results....

Click here to see their slideshow!

Her dress was stunning...one of the most unique designs I have ever seen and made just for her, it fit her so perfectly. She found her dress at Pricilla of Boston

Place Cards

I love unique and personalized place card/favors. They are such a great way to express your gratitude to your guests as well as send them home with a great reminder of you! Here are some of my favorites. I think they capture so beautifully the individual themes of the events
